hi..
The highly evolving Diabetes Generation. A culprit Mr. Carbohydrates & Mrs. Sweet are the two main reasons for this. How to reduce this couple intake. Diet? Ya of course yes. A second trick is there. yes. A research has been done in carbohydrates. Cooked food can be consumed in three ways, freshly cooked , cooked & chilled and cooked, chilled & reheated.
Freshly Cooked - on digestion increases the glycemic level and the work insulin also
Cooked & Chilled - on digestion the glycemic level won't be that much high as in freshly cooked
Cooked, Chilled & Reheated - on digestion the glycemic level is much less when compared to the other two.
In latter two the carbohydrates forms a compound called resistant starch. Resistant starch is very much helpful in controlling the calorie burned up by the body. The resistant starch escapes the small intestine in digestion and reaches the large intestine where it is fermented by bacteria producing short chain fatty acids which are readily used up rather than storing in liver as glycogen. so think of it and consume the right food.....
